Tazer JL Mini aims to be an essential tool for owners of the 2018+ Wrangler JL and Jeep Gladiator. All engine and transmission variations supported, including export models.
Simple, plug-in installation – simply unplug the SGW module and plug the Tazer JL Mini in its place. Located above the OBD2 Diagnostic connector. To make it easier for removal and reinstallation for dealer visits, add on our SGW Extension Cable.
Features are all accessed using the dash display, using steering wheel buttons to navigate the menus.
Tazer JL Mini features can be broken into three categories:
Vehicle Settings are accessed with the engine OFF and the ignition in the “RUN” position. These are changes made to the Jeep such as tire size, gear ratios or settings which accommodate other upgrades. These changes will continue to operate after the Tazer JL Mini is unplugged.
Live Functions are accessed with the engine ON. These are operations the Tazer JL Mini performs live, only while it is physically connected plugged in.
“Non-Menu” Live Functions are not located in a menu. They are activated automatically or with a steering wheel button combination. These are operations the Tazer JL Mini performs live, only while it is physically connected.

Light Show – 6 preset and 3 make-your-own light shows that flash all the exterior lights – perfect for car shows/first responders/off-road visibility – controlled from key fob or steering wheel buttons – can be enabled in-motion for use in parades, off-road and for legal police/EMS applications (contact support for more info)

disconnect sway bar in 2WD up to 30mph or at any speed if mapped to a button
License Plate Blanking (Gladiator) – Tazer JL Mini will automatically turn off license plate light when in reverse or using TurnCam to reduce glare
activate bed lights/reverse lights from keyfob (Gladiator)
Axle Locker Control (Rubicon, Mojave) – engage lockers in 2WD and 4Hi on demand.
Cooldown Mode – turn on engine fans on-demand
Winch Mode – raise idle RPM to user-selected value between 1250 and 2000 (excl. 4XE)
Hood Alarm – monitors hood activity when the vehicle theft alarm is armed and will sound the alarm and flash a light show if opened
Line Lock – lock the front brakes for an easy burnout
Rock Crawl – lock all four brakes with a steering wheel button combo to hold the vehicle still, especially helpful when off-road (excl. 4XE)

European JLs are equipped with side mirror turn signals, which take the place of Halos in the wiring. You currently can't install Halos on European JLs.

The main reason for the purchase was to adjust for my increased tire size, but also loved other options like the light show, flashing 3rd brake light, and auto stop off.
Great product. Get the extension cable. Not hard to install, but would not want to do it all the time. Features are awesome, so many things that I did not even realize annoyed me were vastly improved!
I bought this so I didn't have to remember to push the button that makes my Jeep engine shut off.
It was easy to install and set up. That was cool because I waited due to being intimidated.
I'm learning about all the other things it can do. I'm very Impressed!.
It works great!! It’s nice to have the ability to change factory settings. Leave it installed and forget about it. I have 2 complaints #1 being the instruction to change setting were hard at first to understand stand. It took 30 min to understand how to go through the menu. Not a deal breaker. Maybe a better paragraph to explain things up front. #2 on 1st day there was an electrical sound coming from somewhere in the dash. Can’t explain it like a buzzing feed back type noise. And the pitch would change turning the steering wheel or applying the break. For the most part it has gone away. I do like the control on features it gives me.
Great product, have it installed on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2.0- liter turbocharged. After installing and applying my custom settings it worked as expected.
I have tried to enjoy this thing(22 JLUR 3.0ED). Originally I bought it solely for the high idle/winching mode. Which never worked after update after after update. When you guys finally responded to my text messages I was told it was disabled. Ok, not that big of a deal since you said it was coming back after a bug fix. I tried enjoying all the function using it Live, married and plug in.
However when married, live or not, the Tazer performed bizarre battery cut off. Again it took week for you guys to contact me. Again I performed updates and kept trying it. The frequency of the mysterious battery cut off slowed but still occured. This caused a unreliability issue(battery would not communicate and couldn’t start Jeep. This was not the dead battery issue from poor Tazer use). End of the day I really really liked the options and as a Volunteer Firefighter and rural paramedic the Light Show was awesome. All together I couldn’t trust your Tazer. I even asked you to swap it out for a new but you guys refused. Cool product but for my reality it is Crow Item because of function and almost as important to function your horrible customer service doomed by relationship with Tazer
Would like to see options for:
Clutch start cancel (start jeep without pressing clutch-like on a toyota pickup)
4wd hi offroad+ in 2wd
Kill the 3 beeps when seatbelt is off during startup
(not the same as the normal seatbelt minder which you can turn off)
Keyfob out of vehicle/horn honk silence worked for a few days (initially) and since has returned to normal. Cannot silence regardless of mode now.
Trailturn in 2wd, would be helpful descending sharp switchbacks.
For 2025 JLUR-X 3.6 M/T 6 speed
Also would be nice to see the instructions re-written in a conventional format and add a half page cheat sheet.
The install was very quick and easy, and programming was also easy - just answering questions. I won’t go into detail, but more than a few features were modified / improved. My Gladiator is now safer and more user friendly. Well worth the time and money.
Install was easy. Software update was easy. However, when calibration of my tire size up to 43….it triggered all kinds of alerts on my Gladiator. I had to go to the dealership twice. I have found, through trial and error, that if I stop at 41” for the tire size that it will work. But I bought the darn thing so my speedometer would be accurate. Disappointing. For the time being I will run this as I research another product.
Just installed the Tazer JL Mini in our 2026 Jeep JLU Rubicon-X, WOW!
I finally have the auto start-stop feature disabled for good (ability to turn it back on if needed, but why, right?...)
Being able to disconnect the front sway bar and engage the rear locker while still in 2WD has been huge. It allows the suspension to actually flex and letting us go significantly farther down the trail before needing to drop into 4Wd. It’s easily reduced our 4Wd usage by over 75% on the trails we run here in the Central Oregon Cascades. That's HUGE!
I’ve also disabled several other nanny features like Auto Park and the annoying honk when you step away with the key in your pocket while the engine is running. The list of useful tweaks goes on and on.

Taser JL Mini and extender cable are essential additions for any Jeep Wrangler. I bought my ZAutomotive package the same day I bought my new 2026 JL and installed the Taxer and extender the day they were delivered - the Tazer is THAT good and THAT important to me. Auto start/stop - gone. ParkAssist safety feature blocks you from making a simple vehicle move - block the system. Every ridiculous government overreach feature to over-lawyered designs for idiots can be intelligently managed via the Tazer plus tons of other features you’ll love. ZAutomotive Tazer ROCKS!!!
This is my second TazerJL I had one on my 2018 Rubicon and traded in theJeep and left it in for the next guy. I had a 2024 Tacoma. I missed my Rubicon, so I got me a 2026 Rubicon X and of course I wanted a Tazer JL for it.
Love it and the functions so much. It was really helpful having the instruction sheet available.
I would LOVE to see a quick reference card that I could put in my visor for off-road purposes!

Conflicted product. Voids warranty? Accessing the menu system through the steering wheel takes a MIT graduate.
After doing the recent firmware update.
Cannot find online from Z automotive as to how "The Actual Fuck" does one access the menus. For instance. Auto stop start automatically goes to your last setting. No menu option.
Live functions are enabled with the engine running. Start of the light show just fidgeting with the damn system.
Cannot find where the abbreviations are for sub menus,yet. Again. You need to be a MIT graduate.....
That said. This is my second tazer purchase.(2024-2026)
Would purchase again. It's like playing Fortnite on your phone. Understanding the system is just another game.

I have the JL mini in a 2024 Jeep JLUR. I’ve tried several times to get nav in motion setting to work. Not only will it not work while the vehicle is in motion, now the navigation system won’t allow me to type in a location AT ALL. I’ve re-set the radio/navigation screen multiple times. I’ve contacted customer service twice…no response. I will be happy to update this review if this problem can be fixed. I can now search locations in the navigation system while stationary. I re-set the radio several more times. I’m hesitant to try the in motion navigation setting.

Hi Carl, Nav in motion on the 2024+ models in still in development because of the Uconnect 5 system being different then the Uconnect 4 system but should not keep the nav in motion or navigation from working. I will email you and lets get you back on track.
You claim compatibility with 2025+ Gladiators, but you do not support the CAN-FD connectors. They are much larger. Your software maybe able to talk to Jeep, but if you cannot connect the device, it is useless.
I think you have stepped over the line here. To the point I am considering making a false advertising complaint.
